InnoSwitch™3-EP and InnoSwitch™4-QR power switchers

 

InnoSwitch3-EP and InnoSwitch4-QR GaN flyback switchers designed for server, PC standby, and industrial supplies up to 220 W and 1250 V.

The InnoSwitch families of ICs dramatically improve the efficiency of flyback power converters, particularly those requiring a compact form-factors. These power switchers incorporate primary and secondary controllers, PowiGaN™ power switch and safety-rated feedback (FluxLink™) into a single IC.

InnoSwitch3 family of flyback switcher ICs feature the company’s proprietary 900 V and 1250 V PowiGaN technology, deliver up to 100 watts with better than 93 percent efficiency, eliminating the need for heat sinks and streamlining design of space-challenged applications. InnoSwitch3 designs also offer exceptional light-load efficiency making them ideal for auxiliary server power supplies.

The InnoSwitch4-QR family slashes component count in high efficiency flyback designs up to 220 W.  The family features a robust 750 V PowiGaN primary switch and a steady-state switching frequency of up to 155 kHz. When paired with HiperPFS-5 power factor correction (PFC) ICs, they can deliver up to 220 W output in simple flyback designs for high-power applications that don't require an active clamp drive.
