Vice President, Internet of Things

Lou Lutostanski is the vice president, Internet of Things (IoT) for Avnet. In this role, he works across the company to help customers bring new IoT products to market, from idea to production. This includes working with entrepreneurs, startups, leading technology OEMs and other IoT innovators to implement IoT strategies leveraging Avnet’s global reach and product development expertise. He reports to Pete Bartolotta, President, Business Transformation.
Lutostanski understands the challenges businesses face with emerging technologies, like IoT and artificial intelligence (AI). In order to simplify the complexity of IoT and AI implementations, he helps customers focus on their business use cases. Through Avnet’s extensive ecosystem, Lou and his team are able to provide the technology, including the hardware and software, as well as the relationships and expertise to bring their IoT solutions to life – through one partner -- which lowers costs and speeds time to market.
Lutostanski has 30 years of experience and industry knowledge. He joined Avnet in 1987 as a system sales manager. Throughout the next 13 years, he gained increasing responsibility as a field application engineer; sales manager; branch manager; and vice president, area director. Lou left Avnet in 2000 and spent 12 years at Motorola/Freescale where he served as the global vice president of sales covering Hewlett Packard and Motorola, and then as vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas. Since his return to Avnet in 2013, he has served as vice president of sales for the Americas and as vice president of demand creation for the Americas.
Lutostanski graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and earned an MBA from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. He resides in Austin, Texas.
